2009

Winner: Joani Johnston from George.

 

Competition held at the St George’s Hotel conference facilities in Midrand, Gauteng Province

 

Joani attains a top 10 place at the Mrs World competition which was held in Vietnam

 

First runner up, Henriette Radmanovic, is stripped of here title because she took part in the Mrs Worldwide competition in America without the permission of the Company.

   

2008

Competition and pageant purchased by Mrs. SA (Pty) Ltd on 1 January 2008.

 

 

2007

Winner: Jo-lize Uys

 

Pageant held at sea on the Melody on 6 December 2007

 

Annette Kasselman attains 5th place in Mrs. World competition

2006

Winner: Annette Kasselman

 

Pageant held at the Groenkloof Campus of the University of Pretoria on 22 February 2006

 

 

2005

Winner: Mariette Chippendale

 

Pageant held at the St George's Hotel in Pretoria

 

 

2004

Winner: Retha McPhearson

 

Pageant held at the St George's Hotel in Pretoria on 1 July 2004.

2003

The 2002 title holder, Marelize Steyn-Jacobs, was forced to resign the title of Mrs. South Africa since she was in the process of getting divorced and the 1st runner up from 2002, Anna Kearney, was named Mrs. South Africa 2003

 

Retha McPherson competed in the Mrs. World Pageant in India and was awarded Face of the Year in 2003.

 

Competition and pageant purchased by Susca Watts.

 

Carene Breytenbach (Mrs. Body Perfect 2000) awarded the Mrs. Globe South Africa

 

 

2002

Winner: Marelize Steyn

 

Pageant held  in Esselen Park, Kempton Park, Gauteng.

 

The crowning evening was held in Pretoria on 14 October 2000.

 

 

2001

Mrs. SA pageant not held

 

Carene Breytenbach (Mrs. Body Perfect 2000) awarded the Mrs. World title in 2001.

 

 

2000

Winner: Anelle Swart

The pageant's name changed to Mrs. South Africa.

Tereza Troskie: 4th place in the Mrs. International Pageant held in Tennessee, USA.

 

Tereza Troskie: 1st princess in Mrs. United Nations Pageant held in Orlando, USA. Also: Mrs. Fitness, Best Model and Best Designers Dress.

 

 

1999

Winner: Tereza Troskie

 

Pageant held on 7 August 1999 in Tzaneen.

 

Elsa Engelbrecht (Mrs. SA 1999) becomes Mrs. International in Texas, USA. Also awarded Mrs. Personality.

 

Elsa Engelbreght (Mrs. SA 1999) represents South Africa at the Mrs. Globe international pageant.

 

 

1998

Winner: Elsa Engelbrecht

 

 

1997

Winner: Maureen Barnard

 

Competition was known as Mrs. South Africa International.

 

Crowning held at the Saint George Hotel in Irene, Centurion on 6 June.

 

Was originised by Ellie Roux from Beyond 2000 Promotions.

 

 

1971

Die Vaderland newspaper in conjunction with the Rooi Rose (to what extent is unknown) is presents the Mrs SA competition. The prize money was R16000 and a 1500 entries were received.

 

Mrs Toinette van den Berg from Heidelberg in the Transvaal was crowned Mrs. South Africa and received a Ford Fairlane 500 as her prize.

 

Judge Kowie Marais tallied the votes Mrs. Susan Strydom, wife of the previous Premier of SA, handed over the prizes.

 

The crowning evening was held in the President Hotel in Johannesburg on 1 December 1971

 

The judges were: Judge Kowie Marais, Mrs. Susan Strydom (wife of the previous Premier of SA) Brig. Alwyn Burger (Chief Detective of the Rand area), Prof. Anna Steyn(from RAU), Mari Pienaar (Vrouerubriek of the SABC), Marie du Toit (a movie star), Prof. Herman Krige (from RAU), Dr. Japie Malan (NG congregation, Aasvoelkrans), Mr AM van Schoor (Chief Editor of Die Vadeland), Mrs Mattie Reid(a beauty consultant).

 

 

1970

The competition was won by Annali Germishuysen.
