An outstanding and highly successful day was enjoyed by 135 ladies who attended a “Soul Sister Series” day hosted by Laurette Batstone; semi-finalist for Mrs South Africa 2010. Why Soul Sisters and not just simply a tea party or fashion show? Soul Sisters are about improving the lives of women, empowering them to create purpose, meaning, joy and abundance.” Laurette wanted to give more to women on her day, and took this opportunity to share with women her idea of ‘the Perfect day’. A day of Inspiring Women and making a difference in their lives” The event was hosted at Magnolia at Castorbridge in White River on Saturday 17th April. “Tickets were sold out within 24 hours of release on 1st March and although that was 7 weeks prior to the event, every single ticket holder attended” The day’s Exciting itinerary started off with talks by Elmarie Venter, psychologist, and Jenna Clifford, artist-jeweller, entrepreneur and philanthropist. All the ladies all went on to Workshops relating to Inner and Outer Beauty topics by Mopani, Xela Fashion Studio, Woman Inc, New Leaf Coaching and a Champagne tasting by JC Le Roux’s and their latest Champagne ‘La Valée’. The day included breakfast, lunch and long champagne breaks. Each delegate received a gift from Jenna Clifford: The Rose Amulet, symbolizing love and passion and inspires thoughtfulness, regained strength and unity. They also received a goody bag filled with treats and surprises from fantastic sponsors such as Mazda, Shapes for Women, Summerfield’s Roses, JC Le Roux, Function Design, The Grove and Exclusive Books. Laurette still receiving e-mails, calls and sms’s of congratulation from the ladies who attended. Congratulations Laurette! Everyone was inspired and you made a difference in their lives. |
